Courses overview

MIDS will run for 18 months over three semesters including short breaks in between. Lectures will be conducted for two semesters while the third semester is for the student to complete his/her dissertation or be in an internship.

This third semester could include time in Belgium, the seat of the European Union, for the dissertation and internship but this is at the expense of the student.

European Studies Courses

4. European Economic Integration
5. Fundamental Aspects of European Union Law
6. Policies of the European Union
7. Politics and Decision-making in the EU
8. The External Relations of the European Union

Co-Curriculum Activities

Students are required to study a European language: French, German, Spanish or whatever is available. Further, as the degree requires exposure to the real world, co-curriculum activities will include internships or fieldwork to observe diplomatic practice, activities in the Stock Exchange etc.
