Course Objectives
By the end of the course students should
- have developed a deeper insight into the workings of the European Union especially the Economic and Monetary systems
- be able to better appreciate the various issues facing the European Union.
This course attempts to review economic forces that have led to the formation of an integrated economic system: The European Union. Various issues that address the internal market within Europe and the common market’s positioning to the rest of the world would be examined. Common economic policies in the European Union and analysis of the contemporary issues will also be discussed.
